Retail Assistant Manager Full-Time

Overview E&H Ace Hardware is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Assistant Store Manager to support the daily operations of one of our locally owned retail stores. This leadership role is perfect for someone who thrives in a customer-focused environment and is ready to help drive sales, coach team members, and ensure smooth day-to-day execution on the sales floor.As an Assistant Store Manager, you'll work closely with the Store Manager to create a welcoming, productive, and well-organized retail space — all while helping team members grow and customers get what they need to complete their projects.What you'll do Coach and train team members using E&H's Customer First Sales CultureLead by example in providing helpful, solution-based service to every customerSupervise daily store operations including opening, closing, and manager-on-duty shiftsSupport merchandising and ensure promotional signage and seasonal displays are accurate and completeHelp customers with purchases, returns, special orders, and online fulfillmentManage inventory through cycle counts and stock-level monitoringOversee the accurate receiving, checking-in, and stocking of merchandiseMaintain a clean, organized sales floor, stock room, and outdoor areasParticipate in store resets and reorganizationsAddress and resolve customer or employee concerns professionally and promptlyFoster a safe and secure store environment and take proactive steps to prevent theft and accidentsOperate store systems including POS and ACENET with confidenceBe flexible and available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as neededMinimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent1+ years of prior retail leadership or supervisory experience preferredStrong communication, organizational, and multitasking skillsProficiency with basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, Teams, etc.)Ability to lead others while also working independentlyFamiliarity with hardware or home improvement retail is a plusAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periodsAvailability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and eveningsWhy join E&H Hardware Group?
