Job Summary:
The Mitigation Technician is an entry-level field position responsible for performing water mitigation, structural drying, and contents handling on residential and commercial job sites. Working under the direction of the Lead Technician and Mitigation Crew Chief, this role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. Technicians must maintain job site standards, properly document work, and provide professional service to customers. This position offers a clear career path to Lead Technician and Mitigation Crew Chief roles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Field Operation & Mitigation Work
    • Perform water mitigation tasks including water extraction, controlled demolition, debris removal, cleaning, and equipment setup under the direction of the Lead Technician. Assist with drying equipment placement, containment setup, and daily job site monitoring. Maintain safe work practices and immediately report any hazards, scope changes, or unsafe conditions.
  • Contents Handling & Property Protection
    • Carefully move and protect customer belongings during mitigation and pack-out processes. Wrap, box, label, photograph, and inventory contents accurately using company systems. Ensure proper protection of unaffected areas using floor, furniture, and structural safeguards.
  • Documentation & Reporting
    • Complete required job documentation daily, including photos, moisture readings, equipment logs, and work records. Upload all data into company platforms (Albi/MICA) by end of day. Communicate job site updates, issues, and changes to the Lead Technician in real time.
  • Equipment, Vehicle & PPE Compliance
    • Load, stock, and inspect vehicles daily. Operate and maintain mitigation equipment safely and according to direction. Wear required PPE at all times in regulated environments and follow all OSHA and safety protocols. Maintain accountability for all equipment issued or transported.
  • Shop & Team Support Responsibilities
    • Maintain clean, organized vehicles, shop, and warehouse areas. Restock equipment and supplies daily to ensure job readiness. Support other crews as needed and participate in ongoing training and certification development.
  • Safety & Compliance
    • Follow all OSHA and company safety standards. Identify and report hazards immediately, including structural risks or suspected hazardous materials. Do not disturb regulated materials (asbestos, lead, etc.). Report all incidents, injuries, or property issues immediately to supervision. Follow all applicable labor laws and safety restrictions.

What We Expect From Our Team:
All Spartan employees are expected to maintain a collaborative, professional, and positive attitude.
