Position Summary

Merjent is seeking an experienced Restoration Operations Manager who will be responsible for managing the companys restoration services program in accordance with the companys strategic plan. The Restoration Operations Manager works with the division president and project managers to establish, implement, and oversee Merjents short- and long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies to ensure the restoration program is operating in an efficient and profitable manner. This is a full-time benefits-eligible opportunity that will be based in Cedar Rapids, IA. The anticipated annual salary for this position is between $110,000 and $140,000 annually, dependent upon qualifications and experience. This position is bonus-eligible.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the division president and director with budgeting and procurement
  • Assists project managers with resource planning and coordination
  • Assigns and monitors maintenance schedules
  • Assists president and director with GoNo-Go and pricing/proposal review
  • Leads proposals as needed based on availability and complexity
  • Provides input to estimator on operational strategy to be used on projects
  • Works with project managers to identify staffing needs
  • Assists recruiting for the service line, including interviews and onboarding
  • Levels of staffing include project hires, field technicians, and operators
  • Provides growth opportunities by mentoring and developing career paths for all levels of staff
  • Manages restoration schedule, project resource distribution planning, and coordination, staff, and equipment
  • Works with division leadership to ensure field staff are performing in accordance with company and client requirements while limiting overall risk for the company

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in an environmental or social field of study with appropriate experience in the industries Merjent supports
  • Minimum of 10 years of reclamation and/or restoration leadership experience
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and ability to plan resource requirements to keep the business running smoothly
  • Effective problem solver and forward-thinker
  • Excellent oral, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Experience delegating work assignments, setting expectations, deadlines, and monitoring delegated activities
  • Ability to inspire and motivate others to perform well and accept feedback from others
  • Demonstrated experience building respectful relationships with internal and external parties and developing business opportunities while meeting company objectives
  • Valid drivers license and acceptable driving
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen where applicable
