Job Overview
The Restaurant Retail Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations to deliver outstanding guest experiences, ensure food safety standards, and drive strong sales results. This position leads the team and upholds operational excellence across food quality, customer service, cleanliness, and overall brand standards.

Core Responsibilities

Operations & Guest Experience
  • Manage daily restaurant activities to ensure smooth, high-quality service
  • Promote a positive and consistent experience for all guests
  • Address and resolve customer concerns in a timely, professional manner
  • Maintain a clean, well-organized, and inviting environment

Team Leadership & Scheduling
  • Hire, train, and lead team members to achieve performance goals
  • Develop schedules based on business demands and labor objectives
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance support
  • Enforce company policies and uphold service expectations

Food Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation requirements
  • Monitor temperature checks, cleaning routines, and safety documentation
  • Train staff on proper food handling procedures and hygiene standards

Inventory & Cost Management
  • Oversee ordering, receiving, and inventory control processes
  • Track waste and implement cost-control measures
  • Collaborate with vendors to maintain product quality and availability

Sales & Financial Performance
  • Review sales trends and key performance indicators
  • Support promotional efforts, merchandising, and upselling strategies
  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and revenue planning

Qualifications

Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Background in restaurant, food service, or retail management
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Preferred
  • Degree in hospitality, business, or a related discipline
  • Food safety certification (such as ServSafe)
  • Familiarity with POS systems and inventory management tools

Work Environment
  • Customer-focused with strong problem-solving skills
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic setting
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift as needed
