Kitchen Manager – VUKA Flame-Grilled Peri-Peri

Location: Uptown, Minneapolis, MN
Job Type: Full-time (5–6 days per week)
Pay: $21–$26/hour (depending on experience) + performance bonus
Schedule: Rotating weekdays/weekends | Lunch + dinner shifts

Position Summary

The Kitchen Manager oversees all kitchen operations — prep, cooking, quality control, and team rhythm.
You’ll be hands-on in the line, maintaining consistency, coaching the team, and ensuring food quality matches brand standards every shift.

You’ll work closely with the owner and front-of-house leads to deliver a reliable, high-quality guest experience.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate kitchen staff to deliver consistent food quality and timing.
  • Manage prep schedules, daily station setup, and closing checklists.
  • Maintain accurate inventory, order supplies, and control food costs.
  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Train and coach staff on recipes, portioning, and service speed.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house and delivery partners to ensure smooth service flow.
  • Monitor performance and identify opportunities for operational improvement.


Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience as a Kitchen Manager, Lead Cook, or Assistant Kitchen Manager in a restaurant or fast-casual setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a focus on efficiency and quality.
  • Working knowledge of food safety (ServSafe certification preferred).
  • Able to handle fast-paced environments calmly and consistently.
  • Grill or peri-peri experience is a plus — but reliability and discipline matter most.
