Restaurant Controller

Core Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily financial operations across diverse legal entities.
• Manage comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial closures.
• Compile and synthesize financial documents such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Maintain rigorous compliance with GAAP, alongside relevant state and federal guidelines.
• Implement and enhance internal controls, along with developing policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with external auditors and accountants on tax documentation, annual audits, and reporting activities.
• Supervise intercompany transactions, ensuring accurate reconciliations and consolidations.
• Track cash flow, optimize working capital, and evaluate financial health.
• Provide leadership and direction to accounting teams, fostering growth and efficiency.
• Drive processes related to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Offer key stakeholders financial models, strategic initiatives, and specialized analyses.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger tasks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation highly desirable.
• Required expertise in handling accounting for multi-unit restaurant or fast food operations, and proficiency with Restaurant365/R365 software.
• Deep understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Experience with consolidation and intercompany financial functions.
• Skilled in restaurant-focused accounting software and advanced Excel functions.
• Exemplary leadership, organizational, and communication abilities.
• Capacity to execute tasks both strategically and operationally.
• Preferred exposure to privately owned restaurant enterprises and multi-site management.
• Experience with growth-oriented environments, including acquisitions and entity growth.
