At the heart of everything we do are our people and the relationships we build.As a Restaurant Bar Department Manager, you will play a critical leadership role in driving operational excellence and team performance. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads with intention, and is passionate about cultivating both team success and elevated guest experiences.Key Responsibilities:Manager-Specific-* Lead by example in training, coaching, and developing hourly team members, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and hospitality excellence* Oversee daily front-of-house operations, ensuring smooth, efficient, and high-quality service at all times* Uphold and enforce cleanliness, organization, and safety standards across all guest-facing areas* Proactively resolve guest concerns with professionalism and urgency, ensuring a positive and memorable experience* Partner closely with kitchen leadership to maintain strong communication, seamless service flow, and consistent product quality* Monitor labor, productivity, and service standards to meet operational and financial goalsBar-Specific-* Oversee all bar operations, including service execution, beverage quality, and guest engagement at the bar* Maintain deep knowledge of Maui Brewing Co. products, craft beer, spirits, cocktails, and beverage trends to lead training and enhance guest experience* Manage and optimize bar inventory, including ordering, receiving, and tracking to minimize waste and control costs* Ensure proper execution of recipes, portioning, and presentation standards for all beverages* Monitor and analyze beverage cost, pour cost, and variances; implement strategies to improve profitability* Lead bar team scheduling, staffing levels, and performance management to ensure efficient operations* Train, coach, and mentor bartenders and bar staff on service standards, upselling techniques, and product knowledge* Enforce all alcohol compliance standards, including ID checks and responsible service practices* Collaborate with leadership on seasonal drink menus, promotions, and new product rollouts* Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of all bar areas, including storage and equipment* Drive bar revenue through strategic initiatives, guest engagement, and elevated service standardsBenefits:* 100% coverage of medical and life insurance premiums for managers* Low-cost buy-up options for dental and vision insurance* PTO available after 6 months of employment* Sick pay available after 90 days* Complimentary shift meal* Free employee parking* Quarterly dining allowance for use at any company restaurant (for you and your guests)* Retail and food & beverage discounts (in addition to dining allowance)* Eligibility for quarterly performance bonusHow to Apply:Apply directly through our careers page: In order to work in the State of Hawaii (restaurants/food handling), TB clearance is required upon hire.
