Restaurant Assistant Manager & Event Coordinator

OLINDA is looking for a hands-on, hospitality-focused Restaurant Assistant Manager & Event Coordinator to help lead daily restaurant operations, support memorable guest experiences, and assist with the successful planning and execution of in-house events. This role is ideal for a dependable leader who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, enjoys developing teams, and takes pride in delivering high standards of food, service, cleanliness, and operational excellence.

What You’ll Do

As the Restaurant Assistant Manager & Event Coordinator, you will support the overall success of OLINDA restaurant outlets by helping oversee service, team performance, guest satisfaction, events, cleanliness, inventory, and operational execution. You will work closely with outlet leadership, culinary teams, event coordinators, and service staff to ensure every shift and event runs smoothly from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support restaurant shifts, events, and outlet operations from setup through close, ensuring service standards are met.
  • Supervise restaurant and event setup, including tables, chairs, linens, place settings, centerpieces, equipment, and overall guest-ready presentation.
  • Support staff scheduling, shift direction, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance accountability in partnership with management.
  • Create a positive, collaborative team environment within the restaurant team and across departments.
  • Monitor cleanliness and organization throughout service, including dining areas, restrooms, floors, tables, and guest-facing spaces.
  • Coordinate food service timing and event execution with chefs, managers, and event team members.
  • Assist with training and development programs to help team members deliver consistent, high-quality service.
  • Support cost control efforts related to food, beverage, labor, inventory, and par levels.
  • Participate in menu discussions, beverage enhancements, guest experience improvements, and operational planning as assigned.
  • Review guest feedback and service performance to help maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Manage cash accountability, bar tracking, billing review, reservation systems, inventory systems, and other operational platforms as needed.
  • Order, schedule, and receive deliveries such as beverages, food items, linens, and other supplies to support business needs.
  • Oversee in-house event planning, coordination, guest communication, banquet event order creation, and day-of execution.
  • Gather event details including timelines, menus, dietary restrictions, service needs, and guest preferences.
  • Assist with projects, clerical tasks, and additional responsibilities assigned by leadership during slower business periods.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous restaurant, hospitality, food and beverage, event, or guest service leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests, vendors, team members, and leadership.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to lead, coach team members, resolve concerns, and support a positive guest experience.
  • Comfort working with reservations, event orders, inventory systems, point-of-sale tools, and related restaurant technology.
  • Ability to understand menus, promotions, event details, guest requests, dietary restrictions, and written operational materials.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and seasonal shifts based on business needs.
  • Must meet all applicable legal requirements to serve, handle, or oversee alcohol service in accordance with company policy and federal, state, and local law.
  • Ability to complete required job-specific training and demonstrate knowledge of company standards, service expectations, and safety procedures.
