Restaurant Assistant Manager

The Restaurant Assistant Manager will support the overall management of an upscale Mediterranean and Turkish cuisine restaurant and lounge, overseeing a medium-sized team of 10-25 employees. This role focuses on maintaining high standards of service during peak evening and weekend shifts, ensuring customer satisfaction, and upholding quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support staff performance during evening and weekend shifts
• Deliver exceptional customer service and handle complaint resolution
• Conduct staff training and development to maintain service excellence
• Manage cash handling and oversee POS system operations
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Maintain quality control of food and beverage offerings
• Perform bartending duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in restaurant management
• ServSafe certification is a plus
• Strong skills in staff management and customer service
• Experience with inventory control and POS systems
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
• Leadership and time management skills
