Respiratory Therapy - Full-Time Instructor/Faculty Description

South College invites applications for the position of Full-Time Faculty Respiratory Therapy at the South College Atlanta campus. We are searching for a team-oriented individual with excellent communication and organization skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction for DMS courses, student evaluation, and maintain student records.
  • Assist with growing and developing additional clinical sites for Respiratory Therapy program.
  • Ensuring students can achieve competencies.
  • Facilitate operational activities related to quality patient care and overall department function.
  • Uphold high standards of teaching, scholarship, and service.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clinical affiliates and the community at large.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Program Director.

Requirements

  • Earned at least a baccalaureate degree from an academic institution accredited by an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE)
  • Hold a valid Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) credential and current state license
  • Have a minimum of four (4) years' experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with at least two (2) years in clinical respiratory care;
  • Have a minimum of two (2) years' experience teaching either as an appointed faculty member in a CoARC-accredited respiratory care program or as a clinical instructor/ preceptor for students of such programs
