Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week contract assignment in Cincinnati, OH. The clinician will provide comprehensive respiratory care services to patients across all age groups, including both critical and non-critical cases, using advanced invasive and noninvasive cardiopulmonary therapies.
The ideal candidate brings strong critical care expertise, NICU experience, and the ability to function independently in a fast-paced acute care setting while maintaining high standards of patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, treat, and monitor patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care procedures (invasive and noninvasive)
- Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, ventilator management, and airway support
- Monitor patient response and adjust care plans in coordination with clinical teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments and interventions
- Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, therapies, and home care practices
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Support emergency response and critical care interventions as needed
- Provide guidance to students and newly oriented respiratory staff
- Participate in departmental education, competency programs, and in-service training
- May function as charge therapist or team lead when assigned
- Ensure compliance with all clinical protocols, policies, and respiratory care standards
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC
- Active Respiratory Care license in the State of Ohio
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience in acute care settings
- Required NICU experience
- Strong critical care and cardiopulmonary assessment skills
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and clinical judgment
- Ability to perform effectively in high-acuity, fast-paced environments
- Strong documentation and patient education capabilities
