Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week contract assignment in Cincinnati, OH. The clinician will provide comprehensive respiratory care services to patients across all age groups, including both critical and non-critical cases, using advanced invasive and noninvasive cardiopulmonary therapies.

The ideal candidate brings strong critical care expertise, NICU experience, and the ability to function independently in a fast-paced acute care setting while maintaining high standards of patient-centered care.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, treat, and monitor patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care procedures (invasive and noninvasive)
  • Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, ventilator management, and airway support
  • Monitor patient response and adjust care plans in coordination with clinical teams
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments and interventions
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, therapies, and home care practices
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Support emergency response and critical care interventions as needed
  • Provide guidance to students and newly oriented respiratory staff
  • Participate in departmental education, competency programs, and in-service training
  • May function as charge therapist or team lead when assigned
  • Ensure compliance with all clinical protocols, policies, and respiratory care standards

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC
  • Active Respiratory Care license in the State of Ohio
  • Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience in acute care settings
  • Required NICU experience
  • Strong critical care and cardiopulmonary assessment skills
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and clinical judgment
  • Ability to perform effectively in high-acuity, fast-paced environments
  • Strong documentation and patient education capabilities
