In the absence of a supervisor, the RCP II may serve as Lead Respiratory Therapist, assuming responsibility for departmental operations during the shift and supporting team development.
Perform respiratory treatments, ventilator management, and pulmonary diagnostics as ordered by physicians
Administer oxygen therapy, arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis, and patient assessments
Collaborate with critical care, emergency, and neonatal teams to optimize patient outcomes
Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
Serve as shift lead when assigned, providing guidance and mentoring
Qualifications: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License required
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required
Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred
High School Diploma or equivalent is required
