Location: Mason City, Iowa (Onsite)
Work Type: Contract (90 Days)
Schedule: 3 Days / Week (12-Hour Shifts)
Hours: 36 Hours per Week

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Schedule: Monday – Friday (3 shifts/week)
• 36 Hours per Week
The Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing respiratory care for patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders. This role involves delivering advanced respiratory treatments, monitoring patient progress, and responding to emergency situations.
The therapist will collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure effective patient outcomes and high-quality care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Assessment & Care Planning
• Assess patients and determine appropriate respiratory care plans
• Develop treatment strategies based on diagnosis and patient condition
• Monitor patient response and adjust care plans accordinglyClinical & Therapeutic Interventions
• Administer respiratory therapies and medications
• Operate and monitor respiratory care equipment
• Perform advanced respiratory procedures and modalities
• Participate in emergency response and code blue situationsMonitoring & Documentation
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Evaluate treatment effectiveness and patient outcomesPatient Education & Support
• Educate patients and families about respiratory conditions and treatments
• Provide guidance on post-care and community support resourcesMust-Have Qualifications
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT Certification – Required)
• Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Experience in acute care or hospital settings
• Strong knowledge of respiratory therapies and equipment
• Ability to respond to emergency situationsPreferred Qualifications
• Experience as a Traveler Respiratory Therapist
• Experience in critical care or ICU settings
