Description

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Duration: 13 Weeks
Location: 1000 Medical Center Boulevard, Lawrenceville, GA 30046
Schedule: Nights | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours/Week

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapy experience required.
  • Active Georgia Respiratory Therapist (RRT) License required.
  • NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
  • Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required.
  • Experience caring for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients preferred.
  • No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assess, evaluate, and treat patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary disorders.
  • Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, bronchodilator treatments, and airway clearance therapies.
  • Initiate, monitor, and manage invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation.
  • Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and interpret results to guide respiratory care.
  • Respond to emergency situations, including rapid response, code blue, trauma, and respiratory distress events.
  • Assist with endotracheal intubation, extubation, airway management, and ventilator weaning protocols.
  • Provide respiratory care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols.
