Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Assignment Details

Location: 1000 Johnson Ferry Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30342
Unit: 736A – Respiratory Care/Diagnostic Services
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Duration: 13 weeks
Candidate Requirement: No local candidates within 50 miles

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapy experience within the specialty
AHA BLS certification (Required)
ACLS certification (Required)
PALS certification (Required)
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification through NBRC (Required)

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess, treat, and monitor patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary disorders.
Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and airway clearance techniques.
Set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot mechanical ventilators and other respiratory care equipment.
Perform patient assessments, arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling, pulse oximetry, and pulmonary function testing as needed.
Respond to medical emergencies, including rapid response and code blue situations, providing advanced airway management and resuscitation support.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans.
