Travel Respiratory Therapist

Location: 1000 Johnson Ferry Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30342
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Varies, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (Every Other Weekend)
Local Policy: No local candidates within 50 miles

Position Summary

Northside Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have recent acute care experience and be skilled in providing comprehensive respiratory care to patients of all ages.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience
• Active Georgia Respiratory Care License (RRT)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification through NBRC
• Current AHA BLS
• Current AHA ACLS
• Current AHA PALS

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions.
• Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen, aerosolized medications, and airway clearance treatments.
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot mechanical ventilators and other respiratory equipment.
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) collection and assist with pulmonary diagnostics.
• Respond to emergency situations, including rapid response and code blue events.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Accurately document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes.

• Holiday Requirement: Travelers must work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 of the 3 minor holidays (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve).
