Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Assignment Details

  • Location: 1000 Johnson Ferry Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30342
  • Unit: 736A – Respiratory Care/Diagnostic Services
  • Shift: Days 7a-730p  F/S/S
  • Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Candidate Requirement: No local candidates within 50 miles

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapy experience within the specialty
  • AHA BLS certification (Required)
  • ACLS certification (Required)
  • PALS certification (Required)
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification through NBRC (Required)

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assess, treat, and monitor patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary disorders.
  • Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and airway clearance techniques.
  • Set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot mechanical ventilators and other respiratory care equipment.
  • Perform patient assessments, arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling, pulse oximetry, and pulmonary function testing as needed.
  • Respond to medical emergencies, including rapid response and code blue situations, providing advanced airway management and resuscitation support.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans.
