Responsible for overseeing daily operations, staff and clinical practices within the respiratory department to ensure high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance. Some responsibilities include scheduling, staffing, departmental workflow over two campuses, one of which contains a NICU; supervise, train, and mentor respiratory therapists; addressing performance and behavior to ensure it complies with the organizations Code of Conduct; ensure adherence to the hospital, DNV, and state regulations regarding patient care and infection control; maintain, calibrate, and evaluate respiratory equipment; manage departmental budgets, inventory and report to hospital administration; develop, implement and audit performance improvement plans to enhance care.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy, Health Science or Related field
License/Certification: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) and state licensure.
Experience: 5 or more years of experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role
Certifications: Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support required
