About the Opportunity
Search Station is recruiting on behalf of a confidential client, a large, well established hospital in Spokane, Washington, part of a comprehensive health care organization serving patients across the Pacific Northwest and beyond. We are seeking two Respiratory Care Practitioners to join their dedicated team, one for a 2nd Floor Float position and one for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
Both roles offer the opportunity to work in a patient focused, whole person care environment where caregivers are truly valued and empowered. The organization serves over 50 hospitals and 1,000+ clinics across multiple states with a 100+ year tradition of caring for the most vulnerable.
The Two Openings
Position 1 — 2nd Floor Float RCP
A float position providing respiratory therapy coverage across the 2nd floor. Ideal for an RCP who enjoys variety in their daily caseload and thrives in a dynamic inpatient environment.
Position 2 — PICU RCP
A specialized position within the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, requiring experience or strong interest in neonatal and pediatric critical care respiratory management. High acuity, highly rewarding.
Requirements
- Education to meet certification, license, or registration requirements
- Active Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon hire
- BLS certification — American Heart Association (required upon hire)
- Comprehensive understanding of contemporary Respiratory Therapy principles
- PICU position: Pediatric/neonatal respiratory care experience preferred
Scope of Work
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses in planning and implementing patient care plans
- Operate and maintain complex ventilatory support systems
- Perform monitoring and resuscitation procedures
- Conduct respiratory care procedures and patient assessments
- Perform diagnostic procedures and administer oxygen therapy
- Complete department orientation and unit-specific orientation as required
- Assist physicians with delivery and direction of Respiratory Therapy
