Overview:

The Respiratory Care Clinical Coordinator provides leadership to the team and assists with the provision of high quality respiratory care.

Responsibilities:
  • Handles scheduling of respiratory care staffing
  • Assists with the management of human and fiscal resources
  • Assists with compliance, regulatory and professional standards and collaborating with other members of the healthcare team
  • Works with the Medical Director of Respiratory Care and the Chief Nursing Officer in planning and implementing new programs and procedures
  • Also provides leadership for the provision of pulmonary function, inhalation challenge tests, EEG’s, Oximetry, EKG’s and Sleep Lab services
Qualifications:
  • Work requires a comprehensive technical knowledge of adult respiratory care procedures and practices
  • This level of education is normally obtained after registration by the National Board of Respiratory Care (RRT or CRTT credentialed)
  • In addition, licensure by the State of Indiana as a Respiratory Care Practitioner is required
  • Work requires the ability to plan and oversee respiratory care activities which is normally obtained after minimum of three years of respiratory clinical experience
  • Proven ability to assess patient needs and administer complete pulmonary function tests and various respiratory therapy procedures. This is
    normally obtained with at least three years of clinical experience.
