What Youll Do:
- Provide respiratory care including oxygen therapy, ventilator support, and diagnostic testing
- Monitor and wean oxygen therapy and artificial ventilation as prescribed
- Draw, analyze, and report arterial blood gases (ABGs) and EKGs
- Assist with airway management, including artificial airway changes
- Perform routine and advanced therapeutic procedures following policies
- Educate patients and staff on treatment plans and procedures
- Document all clinical activities accurately
- Maintain up-to-date certifications and knowledge of technical procedures
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
- Attend staff meetings and contribute to a positive care environment
What You Need:
Required:
- Current licensed Respiratory Therapist in applicable state
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a CRT or RRT
- Experience with neonatal to geriatric patient care, as applicable
- Proficiency in computer use and data entry
Preferred:
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- ACLS certification
- Previous experience in a hospital inpatient or outpatient setting
