Resource Team Assistant Needed!

Summary:
The Resource Team Assistant provides crisis intervention for students as needed during residential hours and helps enhance the staff’s capabilities to manage student behaviors through training, suite observations, and incident report investigations/debriefings. The Resource Team Assistant may train school residential staff in Benedictine-approved behavioral management techniques.
+ Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required, Associates degree in related field, preferred.
- Must have valid driver’s license and cleaning driving record. Must be able to use personal vehicle in the execution of job duties and provide required insurance documentation of personal vehicle.
- Must have at least 1 year experience working with youth and young adults with developmental disabilities.
- Any certifications necessary for the job will be paid for and coordinated through Benedictine
+ Key Responsibilities
- Respond to and provide interventions for any crisis events. Participate and lead team sin student crisis interventions, following student Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP).
- Implement and oversee any BIP follow up as needed. Provide ongoing training to residential staff on student BIPs.
- Complete "train the trainer" certification for the Benedictine approved behavior management program.
- Monitor and observe suites; monitor and observe all general activity periods including meal times.
- Notify supervisor of an incident(s) and complete DHR Reports within expected timelines, as needed.
- Review all incident reports and participate in debriefing meetings and process.
- Train staff in the correct completion of incident reports.
- Attend new admission meetings, as required.
- Monitor protocols for use of safety equipment.
- Monitor staff use of safety equipment and maintain equipment inventories.
- Assist in eloper searches.

Hours of work
- Full time
- Sunday 9am-9pm and Monday thru Thursday 3pm 10pm
- Tuesday thru Friday 3pm-10pm and Saturday 9am-9pm
- Friday 3pm-10pm, Saturday & Sunday 9am-9pm and Monday 3pm-10pm
Overtime expectations
- Overtime is not required but is regularly available and much appreciated. Any employee can request extra hours, regardless of seniority
Work environment
- Ridgely Campus and/or Group Home Setting.
Travel requirements
- Provide transportation utilizing Benedictine fleet vehicles.
On-call responsibilities
- Not required for this position.
