The Resort Ambassador acts as a liaison between the guests and the resort, providing exceptional hospitality, resolving concerns, and ensuring guests have a seamless and enjoyable experience throughout their visit. The Ambassador is a key player in delivering outstanding service and maintaining Prairie Band Casino & Resort's reputation for excellence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for welcoming guests on property and acts as central point of contact, educating them about available services, promotional opportunities, and special events
- Provide engaging, entertaining, and inspiring guest service
- Facilitates seamless communication between guests and Player Development Department, addressing inquiries, facilitating reservations, assisting with player development efforts & events, and providing prompt assistance. Assist with Marketing events and promotions, Players Club, and Player Development as needed
- Motivates new guests to join the Players Club while cultivating relationships with current members on the gaming floor
- Acts as Brand Ambassador by promoting property Promotions and Events, programs, services, and features in a positive manner. Expert in all aspects of casino services such as promotions, events, property amenities & hours of operation
- Upholds the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism with guest and company information
- Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner
- Offer personalized recommendations and assistance to enhance guests' experience
- Actively identifies, acknowledges, diagnoses, and resolves guest concerns following service recovery protocols
- Collaborates with other departments to evaluate guest needs and resolve issues effectively. Escalates issues as necessary to ensure prompt resolution
- Monitor and ensure the upkeep of assigned work areas, such as but not limited to, kiosks, lobby spaces, and casino entrances, to align with resort standards
- Maintains a visible presence in assigned work areas to engage with guests, answer questions, and resolve issues and concerns.
- Communicates guest feedback and operational insights to management for continuous improvement
- Act as liaison between guests and team members, ensuring timely and effective communication
- Serves as a representative of the casino while participating in off-property functions such as charitable events, conventions & trade shows
- Other duties as assigned by department leadership
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1 year in gaming operations, outside sales, telemarketing, service/hospitality or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must be able to effectively demonstrate the ability to sell current promotions and events.
- Excellent guest service skills as well as interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for serving others and ensuring each guest feels valued.
- Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organization and communications skills both written and verbal.
- Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Must meet professional appearance guidelines as outlined in the Prairie Band Casino & Resort Team Member Handbook.
- A record of satisfactory performance and reliability in all prior and current employment.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule which may include various shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred
- Hospitality or Resort training and/or experience.
- Previous casino experience.
- Familiarity and prior experience with casino management systems.
- Computer skills with Microsoft Office Products.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items when necessary.
- Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling guest demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Respond to visual and aural cues.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English, bi-lingual a plus.
- Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10-key adding machine, personal computer, fax machine, and photo copier.
- Able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke.
- Operate in mentally stressful situations.
- Must be able to meet the level two or light work requirements based on the Department of Labor Dictionary of Titles: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently.
