Exceptional residential programs begin with exceptional leaders. The Arc of Ocean County is seeking an experienced Residential Program Manager to oversee one of our Community Living residences supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
As the leader of your assigned home, you'll supervise staff, coordinate services, ensure regulatory compliance, and create an environment where individuals are empowered to live with dignity, independence, and choice. Your Leadership Responsibilities
Manage Residential Operations
Direct the daily operation of an assigned Community Living residence while ensuring high-quality, person-centered services.
Establish a positive home environment that promotes safety, independence, and respect.
Monitor program operations to ensure compliance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
Respond to operational needs while maintaining continuity of services.
Lead, Coach & Develop Staff
Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate Direct Support Professionals and supervisory staff.
Develop employee schedules that ensure appropriate staffing coverage while meeting program needs.
Provide coaching, mentorship, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
Foster a culture built on teamwork, accountability, and exceptional service.
Support Individuals & Their Goals
Ensure individuals receive services that align with their Individual Habilitation Plans (IHPs).
Coordinate healthcare, behavioral supports, therapeutic services, and community resources.
Encourage meaningful participation in employment, recreation, education, and community activities.
Build collaborative relationships with families, guardians, support coordinators, and interdisciplinary team members.
Ensure Quality & Regulatory Compliance
Oversee documentation, medication systems, communication logs, and required reporting.
Prepare the residence for licensing reviews, audits, inspections, and quality assurance activities.
Ensure compliance with DDD, DHS, DCF, Medicaid, and other applicable regulations.
Investigate concerns, implement corrective actions, and promote continuous program improvement.
Financial & Administrative Oversight
Manage household budgets, purchasing, inventory, and operational expenses.
Complete administrative reports, payroll approvals, and required documentation accurately and on schedule.
Monitor program resources while maintaining efficient day-to-day operations.
Perform additional leadership responsibilities that support Residential Services.

Requirements
Successful candidates should possess:
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field preferred.
Minimum of two years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting.
Previous supervisory or management experience strongly preferred.
Valid New Jersey driver's license with no more than five (5) motor vehicle points.
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
Ability to effectively supervise employees while maintaining a person-centered approach.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and participate in an on-call rotation as required.
Ability to meet the physical demands associated with residential services.
