Job Purpose:

  • The Residential Manager II - Forensic Residential at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a forensic residential facility. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality care and services to residents, while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations and standards. The position involves managing staff, coordinating with external agencies, and implementing programs that support the rehabilitation and well-being of residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the forensic residential facility, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for residents.
  • Supervise and support a team of residential staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents, in collaboration with clinical staff and external partners.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement, legal representatives, and other external agencies to facilitate resident care and program objectives.
  • Monitor and manage the facility's budget, resources, and supplies to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Lead regular staff meetings and training sessions to promote best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Handle crisis situations and emergencies with professionalism and adherence to established protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to resident care, staff activities, and facility operations.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative working environment that supports the mission and values of LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER.

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required. Associate or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field strongly preferred.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in residential, behavioral health, or developmental disability services.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or program management role.
  • Experience managing staff teams, supporting individuals with complex behavioral or medical needs, and maintain regulatory compliance required.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in crisis intervention techniques and conflict resolution strategies.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to residential behavioral health services.
  • Competency in using electronic health records and other relevant software applications.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess program effectiveness and implement improvements.
