This position is Monday through Friday 10am - 6pm with flexibility.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or G.E.D. (college participation preferred).
Ability to comprehend and write English at traditional Grade 12 level.
Possession of a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, and an agreement to use one’s personal vehicle for business purposes.
Three years experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
Acceptable Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) and Fingerprint check.
The Residential Coordinator I shall work closely with the Director of ABI in the administration of Agency residential services. He/she shall assist the Director in the following areas of assigned responsibility:
Ensure that resident lifestyles reflect individual interests and normative routines.
Ensure residents have interest-oriented access to community participation on an individual basis.
Develop and implement procedures for assessing peoples’ strengths, interests, competencies, etc. with provisions for on-going reviews of these procedures to insure relevancy and a dignified process.
Ensure the provision of support services (family needs, transportation, staffing, and technical assistance) as appropriate.
Serve as liaison between Agency residential services and other service providers.
Communicate with families/guardians as appropriate.
Implement staff evaluation policy and procedures.
Provide in-service training for assigned topics.
Encourage/require professional development of residential staff.
Develop specific and scheduled feedback opportunities for staff.
Provide direct supervision to Community Living Supervisors as necessary, and oversee their supervision of residential staff.
Assist Director of Specialized Services as required in the development and implementation of Agency policies and procedures and in general administrative functions.
Coordinate licensing and certification requirements of assigned programs.
Ensure homes are properly maintained.
Oversee maintenance of assigned Agency vehicles.
Ensure adequate procedures and protection for administration of program and resident finances.
Conduct regular Residential ABI Supervisor Meetings.
Participate in the development of ISPs and oversee implementation.
Ensure all participant medical and psychological needs are addressed.
Monitor medication administration procedures and staff certification training.
Implement disciplinary procedures as necessary.
Monitor employee time slips.
Assume “On-Call” responsibilities as assigned.
The Residential Coordinator/Manager is responsible for developing and administering an array of services and supports designed to enrich the lives of people with developmental disabilities. Services include, but are not limited to, case management, transportation, the development of social relationships and providing support in the areas of recreational, therapeutic, and personal living skills.
