West Sound Workforce is partnering with a well-established property management company to hire a Residential Maintenance Technician to support a multifamily housing community in Kitsap County. This team manages a well-maintained residential portfolio and is focused on providing responsive, reliable service that supports safe and comfortable living environments for residents.
In this hands-on role, you will work independently to complete repairs, respond to service requests, and help maintain the overall condition of apartment homes and community spaces.
Schedule & Work Environment:
- Full-time position, 40 hours per week
- Rotating schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and on-call coverage as needed for maintenance response
- Field-based role working across a multifamily residential community, including occupied units, common areas, and exterior grounds
- Combination of indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Use of tablets and mobile work order systems to receive, document, and complete daily assignments
- Independent work with support from a maintenance and property management team when needed
What you’ll do:
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across apartment homes, common areas, and building systems
- Work on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general residential repair needs in occupied and vacant units
- Respond to resident service requests and work orders in a timely, professional manner
- Complete preventive maintenance and general repairs including drywall, painting, carpentry, caulking, and flooring
- Support property upkeep including exterior maintenance, grounds work, and preparation of units for new residents
What we’re looking for:
- Hands-on experience in residential or multifamily maintenance, or strong transferable trade skills
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or appliance repair systems
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service skills with comfort working in occupied residential units and resident-facing situations
- Physical ability to perform active work including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working indoors/outdoors
