POSITION: Residential Leasing Specialist
REPORTS TO: Certified Property Manager
STATUS: NON-EXEMPT
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EDUCATION:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- Sales, Marketing and/or Customer Satisfaction experience preferred
- Familiarity with general office equipment including computers, printers, and multi-line phone systems
- Understanding of leasing contracts and fair housing laws preferred
- Proficient Computer Skills including use of all Microsoft Office applications
- Property Management System experience preferred
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to be a team player and build and maintain trusting relationships
- Driver’s License including clean driving record
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides current and/or prospective residents, owners, vendors and team members with the best possible customer service to retain residents and lease properties.
- Discovers, engages, and advances each prospect and follow up until they have set an appointment, found a home within our portfolio, or decided not to move.
- Always display a high level of integrity and professionalism in dealing with residents, prospects, employees, and outside contacts.
- Handles incoming leads by phone, email, and online chat.
- Provides information regarding specific properties as well as services offered with the goal of generating leases for the sites.
- Logs all activity into company provided databases (AppFolio, Google Drive, Excel, etc) in a timely and in an accurate manner.
- Accurately communicates the benefits and features of the property portfolio.
- Stay up to date with all promotions/leasing incentives while gaining knowledge of properties and owners.
- Provides accurate information to residents, prospects and owners in a courteous manner and fills all reasonable requests or requirements.
- Works as a support for all departments, especially property services and management.
- Maintains company’s customer service and sales standards.
- General office duties include greeting visitors, receiving mail and deliveries, organizing and light cleaning.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Duties include typing, writing, answering phone and email etc.
- Ability to speak accurately and clearly.
- Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
- Average, ordinary visual acuity is necessary to prepare or inspect documents.
- Sedentary work, sitting most of the time.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds when necessary
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Travel between locations will be required.
- Work is performed indoors with minimum levels of noise.
