Job Description: Residential Journeyman Electrician

Location: Cincinnati, OH, 45041

Skills and Qualifications

  • Must be a certified residential journeyman electrician
  • Experience working in residential settings
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and codes
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
Job Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential buildings
  • Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers
  • Identify electrical problems using various testing devices
  • Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and equipment
  • Collaborate with contractors and other tradespeople on construction projects
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with relevant codes and regulations
Working Conditions
  • This position may require duties to be performed under normal and adverse conditions inside or out
  • Duties may be performed in unheated or uncooled locations during all seasons of the year.
  • Work sites may include aerial work, confined space work, and other conditions such as close quarters and those encountered in industrial settings
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to climb, bend, squat, crawl, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead on a regular basis
  • The ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Work on overhead tasks as a regular assignment
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs including OSHA approved construction ladders or stairs
  • Possess good vision, normal or corrected
  • Walk significant distances during the work day
  • Ability to use or wear required safety equipment including but not limited to; hard hats, body harnesses, fall arrestors, safety footwear, gloves, hoods, and face or eye shields
