At A+ Heating, Cooling & Electrical, a Southern Home Services company, your morning might begin with a precision tune-up and end with a complex system restore. You’ll diagnose, service, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment across residential neighborhoods—and occasionally in light commercial spaces—making systems safer, more efficient, and more reliable for the people who count on them.
What your day looks like
- Arrive prepared, review your route, and stock your vehicle for the calls ahead.
- Inspect and service air handlers, ductwork, vents, and condensate drains; clean, adjust, and repair components for peak performance.
- Diagnose issues in residential HVAC systems, from airflow imbalances to electrical faults, and complete both routine and emergency repairs.
- Walk customers through findings and options, delivering clear, professional recommendations.
- Document every visit with accurate notes and maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
- Tackle additional duties as assigned to support team and customer needs.
What you bring
- 3–5+ years of HVAC experience (residential focus preferred).
- EPA Certification.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proven troubleshooting ability and strong critical-thinking skills.
- Positive attitude and a commitment to exceptional workmanship.
- Customer-first mindset; professional communication with all levels.
- Team-oriented, adaptable, and energized by new challenges.
Physical demands and work environment
- Lifting 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
- Climbing ladders, accessing attics, navigating tight spaces, entering crawlspaces; pushing, carrying, pulling; using hand tools; performing fine detail work.
- Ability to drive.
- Work indoors and outdoors, including attics and crawlspaces.
- Ability to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.
- Use hands to handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms.
- Regularly stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch.
- Regular exposure to extreme temperatures and adverse weather (heat, cold, wind, rain, ice, snow).
