Swift Services, a Southern Home Services company, is adding a Residential HVAC Diagnostics & Repair Technician to our field team. You’ll be the trusted expert homeowners count on to keep their systems running safely and efficiently—primarily in residential settings, with occasional light commercial work.

A day in the life

Your morning starts with a review of scheduled calls. You head to the first home, assess air handlers, ductwork, vents, and condensate lines, then diagnose performance issues. You clearly explain findings, present options, and complete repairs with precision. Throughout the day, you’ll document work, maintain a tidy jobsite, and uphold safety practices. Before you wrap, you confirm the system is optimized and the customer understands the solution.

What you’ll handle

• Service, tune, and repair HVAC systems: air handling units, ducting, supply/return vents, and condensate drainage.
• Diagnose performance concerns and complete residential service work to restore optimal operation.
• Offer professional recommendations and tailored solutions that put the customer first.
• Support the team with additional duties as assigned.

What you bring

• 3-5+ years of HVAC experience with a residential focus.
• EPA Certification (required).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Advanced troubleshooting ability and sound critical thinking.
• Pride in workmanship and a positive, can-do mindset.
• Customer-first approach and comfort working with people at all levels.
• Collaborative, adaptable, and eager to innovate in a dynamic environment.

Physical aspects of the role

• Regularly lift 50 pounds; occasionally up to 100 pounds.
• Climb ladders; access attics; navigate tight/confined spaces and crawlspaces; drive; push, carry, pull; use hand tools; perform fine, detail-oriented tasks.
• Ability to drive is required.
• Work indoors and outdoors, including attics and crawlspaces.
• Stand, walk, and sit; talk or hear in person and by telephone.
• Use hands to handle or feel objects/controls; reach with hands and arms.
• Regular stooping, kneeling, bending, and crouching.
• Frequent exposure to extreme heat or cold and adverse weather (wind, rain, ice, snow), both indoors and outdoors.
