Job Overview
As a Residential Gas Line Installation Technician, you'll be responsible for installing, testing, and servicing residential gas piping systems while working alongside our installation teams to complete high-quality home improvement projects. This position plays an important role in ensuring every installation is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable codes.
Whether you already have experience with specialty power systems or are looking to expand your skills, we provide training and opportunities to earn additional industry certifications.
Qualifications
Required
- Knowledge of plumbing, fuel gas, and mechanical codes.
- Strong understanding of safe work practices and job site safety.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
Preferred
- Experience installing or servicing residential gas piping.
- Experience working with propane or natural gas systems.
- Experience in residential construction, plumbing, HVAC, or mechanical trades.
- High School Diploma or GED.
Experience
- Minimum of one year of experience in plumbing, gas piping, HVAC, mechanical installation, or a related skilled trade.
Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, pressure test, and repair residential gas piping systems.
- Read installation plans and ensure all work complies with applicable building and fuel gas codes.
- Work closely with electricians and installation crews to complete residential projects safely and efficiently.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot gas piping and related mechanical issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
- Accurately complete job documentation and communicate progress with the operations team.
- Deliver professional, courteous service while interacting with homeowners.
