Waste Connections is looking for individuals who have a passion for driving, career growth and share our #1 Value: _Safety!_ We are looking for Residential Garbage Truck Driver to join the team at our location in Dade City, FL .
Monday-Friday starting at day shift starts at 6:00am typically working 10-11 hour days. You may also work occasional Saturday for extra overtime. We offer family benefits, 401k, and vacation.
POSITION SUMMARY:
+ Ability to safely operate a garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste. Waste experience_preferred._
+ Ability to read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
+ Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
+ Ability to perform a physically demanding job, loading and unloading, at times with no helpers.
+ Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.
+ Courteous interaction with our customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
+ A typical schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, with an occasional Saturday as needed, 50 hour work week .
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
+ Valid Class A or B CDL
+ Have at least 2 years of work experience as well as a stable work history, preferably in a driver position.
+ Able to lift 50+ pounds.
+ Able and willing to work outside in all weather conditions.
+ Garbage Truck experience a PLUS!!!
+ Garbage is very stable and we work year round!
