PowerUp Electric is a locally owned residential electrical company serving Eastern Iowa. We specialize in honest, high quality work, including troubleshooting, panel upgrades, generators, EV chargers, rewiring, and new construction support.

We are hiring a Residential Electrician who can do more than wire a panel. You will talk with homeowners, diagnose problems, recommend solutions, prepare quotes, and complete the work you quote.

This is not a pure sales job. You will still turn wrenches and pull wire, but you will also own the customer experience from diagnosis through installation.

What You'll Do

• Run residential service calls across Eastern Iowa
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and explain them clearly to homeowners
• Recommend solutions based on safety, budget, and customer needs
• Prepare quotes and guide homeowners through options
• Complete installations, repairs, upgrades, and inspections
• Follow electrical codes and company safety standards
• Keep your vehicle, tools, and documentation clean and organized

What You Need

• Iowa Residential Electrician license or Journeyman Electrician license required
• 2+ years of residential electrical experience required
• Comfortable talking with homeowners using simple, no jargon explanations
• Sales experience preferred, but not required
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Basic tech skills, including iPad, smartphone, and job documentation
• Able to work independently and travel within 60 to 90 minutes of Cedar Rapids
