Residential Electrical Service Specialist

Picture this: It’s 7:30 a.m. in Union, NJ. Your Service Professionals truck is already in your driveway. You check today’s residential service calls on your iPad, sip your coffee, and head straight to your first homeowner—no shop commute, just a direct start to doing work you’re proud of.

About the Role

We’re hiring a full-time residential electrician who thrives on solving real problems in real homes. You’ll diagnose issues, present clear options at the kitchen table, and earn trust through craftsmanship and communication. The result? Customers who call back and ask for you by name.

Who We Are

Service Professionals is a family-owned home services company—plumbing, heating, cooling, and electrical—serving most of New Jersey. We’re not a franchise; we’re your neighbors. Since day one, we’ve been building a company our team is proud to represent, one thumbs‑up experience at a time.

Compensation & Rewards

  • Earn What You’re Worth: Base pay from $25–$50/hr depending on experience.
  • Upside Without Limits: An uncapped bonus program where top performers regularly reach $100,000–$200,000+ total compensation.
  • Benefits That Actually Benefit: Health and dental paid with deductibles covered, plus a 401(k) for full-time team members.
  • Company Vehicle: Take-home truck with a gas card; get dispatched from home to save time.
  • Career Momentum: We promote from within and invest in your growth.
  • Light On-Call Load: A true rotation—roughly once every 12–15 weeks.
  • Steady Workflow: We can’t promise hours, but our local marketing engine keeps calendars full.

What Your Day Looks Like

  • Handle residential service and repair—yes, including the tricky, high-impact calls.
  • Diagnose electrical issues across home systems and resolve them safely.
  • Spot looming problems to prevent breakdowns and callbacks.
  • Guide homeowners through choices—repair vs. replace, financing options, and service agreements—so they can make confident decisions.
  • Own your performance: track metrics and hit revenue and service goals.

Your Toolkit

  • Hands-on residential experience running service calls.
  • Fluency with tech like ServiceTitan, tablets/iPads, and digital invoicing.
  • Excellent homeowner communication skills for clear, respectful conversations.
  • Solid grasp of safety practices and local electrical codes.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
  • Fluent in English.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

You’ll regularly sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, and stoop; use hands to handle controls; hear and speak clearly; reach with hands and arms; climb ladders; and work in hot/cold environments (including crawl spaces). Expect to lift 50+ pounds frequently. Close vision and the ability to adjust focus are essential. Work varies by season and scope, including outdoor tasks throughout the year.

Growth Pathways

We’ve advanced countless teammates from within. If you crave development, leadership opportunities, or specialized training, you’ll find a clear runway here.
