Compensation:
Pay Range: $45,000-$55,000 Per Year
Description:
• A Residential Counselor (CASAC) position is available in an onsite setting in Astoria, NY.
• This full-time role involves working day shifts from Monday to Friday with one rotating weekend day.
• Key responsibilities include facilitating individual and group sessions, conducting assessments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements:
• CASAC-P, CASAC T, or CASAC (Full) certification
• Organizational and communication skills for effective interaction
• Critical thinking and sound judgment skills
• Bachelor's degree in behavioral or social sciences with 1 year of experience in drug rehabilitation
• Associate's degree in behavioral or social sciences with 2 years of experience in substance abuse treatment
• High School Diploma with 3 years of paid experience in drug rehabilitation
Qualifications:
• Experience in a multidisciplinary treatment setting
• Ability to facilitate sessions for substance use and co-occurring disorders
• Skills in crisis intervention and recovery planning
• Experience with electronic medical records systems
• Knowledge of 12-step, self-help recovery services, and motivational interviewing
