Pay Range: $45,000-$55,000 Per Year

Description:
• As a Residential Counselor specializing in substance use and co-occurring disorders, you will work onsite in Astoria, NY.
• This full-time role requires a commitment to an afternoon and evening shift, Monday through Friday, with one rotating weekend day.
• The position involves developing and implementing strategies for client change through counseling and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements:
• Possess CASAC-P, CASAC T, or CASAC (Full) certification.
• Demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills.
• Exhibit critical thinking and sound judgment abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in behavioral or social sciences with one year of experience in drug rehabilitation or related field.
• Associate's degree in behavioral or social sciences with two years of experience in substance abuse treatment or related field.
• High School Diploma with three years of paid experience in drug rehabilitation or related field.

Qualifications:
• Experience in facilitating individual and group counseling sessions.
• Ability to work effectively with clients to improve life choices.
• Sensitivity to cultural and linguistic needs of clients.
• Experience in crisis intervention and client risk assessment.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in developing individualized recovery plans.
