Residential Construction Project Manager

Great Northern Builders is a woman-owned, award-winning general contractor serving the Seacoast of NH and Southern Maine. We specialize in high-quality residential remodeling, additions, and custom builds.

We're looking for an experienced Project Manager who leads with confidence, communication, and care. If you thrive on keeping projects organized, solving problems professionally, and maintaining exceptional quality -- you'll fit right in.

What You'll Do
- Manage projects from pre-construction through completion
- Coordinate daily with clients, trade partners, and team members
- Keep schedules on track -- hold trades accountable for quality, safety, and cleanliness
- Balance diplomacy with assertiveness; enforce standards while protecting relationships
- Review and code project invoices for accuracy
- Perform hands-on carpentry as needed (this is a tool-belt company)
- Handle job site setup, protection, and cleanliness
- Order, track, and manage materials -- including pickups and returns
- Maintain project docs and progress photos in JobTread
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment
- Enforce job site safety and company standards
What You Need
- 5+ years residential construction experience (including hands-on carpentry)
- 2+ years project management in remodeling or building (preferred)
- Highly organized -- juggle multiple priorities without losing the big picture
- Clear, professional communicator who holds others accountable with respect
- Comfortable insisting on schedules, cleanliness, and quality -- while staying patient
- Reliable transportation + excellent driving record
- Comfortable with technology and learning new systems
- Able to perform physically demanding tasks in varying conditions
Nice to have:
- OSHA or safety training
- Willingness to work occasional evenings/weekends as needed
Salary & Benefits
- Full-time, W-2 Employee
- Starting salary: $90,000-$110,000(salary plus production incentive plan combined)
- Paid Time Off: 2 weeks to start; additional 5 days PTO after 2 years
- Paid Holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving + Friday after, Christmas Day, and half-day Christmas Eve (when applicable)
- Retirement: SIMPLE IRA with 3% company match (after 90 days)
