Residential Construction Project Manager

Location: Charleston, SC (On-site)

Job Type: Full-time

Classification: W-2 Employee

Pay: $70,000-$90,000 per year, depending on experience

Additional Compensation: Per-project bonus

Position Overview

Christopher Lee Structures is a Charleston-based builder focused on custom residential homes. This role manages multiple active builds, coordinating field operations, schedules, and budgets to deliver completed homes that meet plans and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily activity across residential construction sites
• Build and maintain project schedules using Buildertrend
• Track budgets, costs, and change orders
• Coordinate subcontractors, inspections, and material deliveries
• Review work for compliance with plans, codes, and quality standards
• Conduct routine site visits and resolve field issues
• Communicate timelines and updates to clients and internal team members
• Maintain project documentation and progress reports
• Support and oversee field personnel
• Promote and enforce job site safety practices

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing residential or custom home construction projects
• Working knowledge of construction sequencing, materials, and subcontractor coordination
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience with Buildertrend (or similar project management software) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects at different stages
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred:

• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• Hours vary based on project phase and site activity

Work Environment

• On-site at residential construction projects in the Charleston, SC area
• Regular travel between job sites required
