Position Summary:

The Resident Transportation Specialist is responsible for ensuring safe, timely transportation of Residents to and from scheduled appointments. This role requires patience, attentiveness, and a strong commitment to Resident safety and dignity throughout the entire trip.

This position is more than just driving - it is about providing reassurance, support, and compassionate care while assisting Residents with mobility and appointment access.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Safely transporting Residents to and from medical appointments

  • Assisting Residents in and out of the vehicle or community bus

  • Escorting Residents into buildings and ensuring they arrive at the correct office

  • Assisting with appointment check-in when necessary

  • Following all safety policies and traffic regulations

  • Maintaining confidentiality of Resident and community information

  • Demonstrating professionalism, tact, and sensitivity at all times

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 18 years of age

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

  • Sincere desire to work with the elderly and physically disabled population

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Physical ability to assist Residents safely in and out of vehicles
