Qualifications
- Must have an Activity Director Certification.
- Must have long-term care (LTC), or assisted living facility experience
- Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills with a positive attitude.
- Requirements: Must have a patient and empathetic approach to working with the elderly and disabled.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Development: Create monthly schedules featuring exercise, cognitive games, arts, and social events.
- Resident Assessment: Conduct evaluations of residents' interests and capabilities within 14 days of admission to create personalized activity care plans.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain records of participation and document progress notes, adhering to federal, state, and facility regulations.
- Department Management: Hire, train, and supervise activity assistants; manage the department budget and inventory.
- Interdisciplinary Care: Participate in care plan meetings and coordinate with nursing/dietary staff for resident care.
- Event Facilitation: Lead activities, including large group events, small group sessions, and individual room visits for bedbound residents.
