Position Summary
The Residence Director is a live-in employee who promotes and enhances a supportive community environment in their residence area which is conducive to academic achievement and personal growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Education and/or Experience
A Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, or a related field is preferred. 1-2 years of post-undergraduate employment in student affairs is also preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree and the ability to transfer theory into practice. Previous experience within a residence hall setting. Crisis management, supervisory, community development, and programming experience are also a preference.

Understanding of the College's Catholic mission and an appreciation for how Catholic traditions and values enhance the student experience. Must also have excellent time management and organizational skills.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk, sit, and use their hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand and reach with hands and arms.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
