The Research Technician I operates laboratory equipment, prepares raw materials, performs experimental procedures, and records data to support research activities.
- Preparing raw materials through drying, crushing, and screening.
- Batching, weighing, and forming samples via mixing, pressing, and casting.
- Preparing samples to specified shapes, submitting, and labeling specimens.
- Testing specimens, recording, and reporting data accurately.
- Maintaining lab facilities, supporting routine equipment upkeep, and managing inventory.
- Supporting process improvements and adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required; associate degree in relevant fields preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage time efficiently.
- Laboratory experience (0-2 years) in refractory or related research is preferred.
