Research Scientists at IBM drive the leading edge of quantum computing technologies with the industrys most advanced hardware and software. Join an elite team of researchers and engineers building a path towards scalable fault-tolerant quantum computation.
IBM Quantum is hiring a Research Scientist to contribute to the development of advanced high-performance mixed-signal circuits in advanced nodes for exploratory applications. We focus on circuit designs targeting the development of differentiated solutions for a range of communication and computation challenges, including the creation of CMOS-based electronics for quantum computing applications.
Successful applicants will have demonstrated experience in RF analog and/or mixed-signal circuit design. In this role, you may be tasked with designing blocks such as:
• Phase-locked-loops (PLL) • Digital-to-analog converters (DAC) • Analog-to-digital converters (ADC) • RF or wireline transmitters • RF or wireline receivers • Complex mixed-signal subsystems
You will be involved in all aspects of design projects from concept and IC architecture exploration/definition to system integration to bring up and test. Demonstrated hands-on lab skills are therefore important. In addition, a background in communication theory and systems and/or quantum computing would be advantageous.
At IBM, you don’t need a degree to shape the future. Just bring your skills—and your passion. To build. To design. To code. To consult. To think along with clients and sell. To make markets. To invent. To collaborate.
Not just to do something better, but to attempt things you've never thought possible. To lead in this new era of technology and solve some of the world's most challenging problems. Let’s get to work.
