The individual in this role will assist with course preparation, website and social media updates, magazine development, event coordination, and participant travel arrangements. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a professional environment\n \nResponsibilities\n \nCourse and Event Management\n\n Support preparation and distribution of course materials, instructional resources, and related documentation.\n \n\n Assist with coordination of course logistics, including scheduling, instructor support, and participant communication.\n \n\n Provide administrative support for planning and execution of workshops, seminars, and other Institute events.\n \n\n Coordinate participant and guest instructor travel, including booking, itinerary preparation, and communication.\n \n\n \nMarketing and Communications\n\n Maintain and update website content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with Institute standards.\n \n\n Develop and publish social media content to promote programs, events, and organizational initiatives.\n \n\n Draft, edit, and distribute newsletters and other communications to stakeholders.\n \n\n \nCompliance and Reporting\n\n Maintain accurate records related to events, travel, communications, and program activities.\n \n\n Ensure adherence to university policies, safety regulations, and funding agency requirements.\n \n\n \nOther Tasks\n\n Manage day-to-day operations of the CBEI research unit.\n \n\n Perform additional duties as assigned to support Institute operations.\n \n\n \nRequired Qualifications\n\n High school graduation/GED and seven years of administrative experience OR\n \n\n Bachelor's degree and five years of administrative experience\n \n\n Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication.\n \n\n Experience with website content management systems and social media platforms.\n \n\n Strong organizational and time\u2011management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.\n \n\n Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Power-point) applications.\n \n\n Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional setting.\n \n\n \nRelevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.\n \nPreferred Qualifications\n\n Bachelor's degree in communications, business administration, marketing, education, or a related field.\n \n\n More than two years of experience in event coordination, communications, or program administration.\n \n\n Familiarity with email marketing tools, basic graphic design software, or digital content platforms.\n \n\n Experience supporting educational programs or technical training initiatives.\n \n\n Experience in an research, academic or higher-learning environment.\n \n\n \nSalary Range\n \n$70,000 + depending on qualifications\n \nWorking Conditions\n\n Standard schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. \u2013 5:00 p.m., with occasional after-hours work for events or urgent deadlines.\n \n\n Occasional travel or evening/weekend work may be required to support Institute events.\n \n\n \nRequired Materials\n\n Resume/CV\n \n\n Letter of interest\n \n\n 3 work references with their contact information; at least one reference should be from a supervisor\n \n\n \nImportant for applicants who are NOT current university employees or contingent workers: You will be prompted to submit your resume the first time you apply, then you will be provided an option to upload a new Resume for subsequent applications.
