Under general supervision in the Coffin Lab, provides a wide variety of moderately complex laboratory testing and technical lab support for a research facility. Requires knowledge of the processes/procedures in testing, documenting experiments, maintaining laboratory notebook, analyzing data, and reporting using complex statistical computer software.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor''s degree in related field of Science required
  • 2+ year''s of research lab experience. Experience with cell and molecular techniques including PCR, immunostaining, confocal microscopy.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Understanding of research methods, laboratory techniques, and care of laboratory equipment;
  • Ability to interpret data, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel; PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Must be detail oriented and have analytical skills
  • Strong work ethic, excellent written and communication skills, and the ability to work independently
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays depending upon research needs
