The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Cardiology, seeks a Research Instructor to develop scalable and reproducible computational/ML/AI workflows for processing multi-modal primary imaging data and related biomedical datasets. Collaborate with clinical investigators, biostatisticians, and epidemiologists to formulate testable hypotheses and to translate computational/ML/AI findings into biologically meaningful insights that inform clinical investigation and/or experimental validation. Participating in interdisciplinary project design, generating analytic plans and data interpretation is essential. Lead and support scholarly presentations and publications of primary research findings. Apply for extramural funding to support research related to developing computational/ML/AI workflows for processing multi-modal primary imaging data. Implement best practices in data management, reproducible research, and computational documentation, including maintenance of well-annotated code repositories and analytical pipelines. Ensure compliance with institutional policies regarding data security and human subjects research. Contribute to mentoring of trainees in area of expertise.

Qualification

Candidates should hold an MD, PhD, or MD/PhD degree. Successful candidates will demonstrate objective evidence of productivity in terms of first-author publications. Excellent leadership and communication skills are required to function as part of a collaborative research team as well as the candidate's independent research program. The position will also have medical student, graduate student, and/or fellow teaching responsibilities.
