Job Description and Duties
This limited term position may be extended up to 24 months and has the possibility of becoming permanent.
Under general direction of the Manager II in the Evaluation & Data Innovation Branch, within the Research, Evaluation and Data Insights (REDI) Division, the incumbent will be one of the most senior positions in the branch. Research Data Specialist III (RDS III) will work independently to 1) provide expert guidance on specialized and complex areas related to the development of web-based power applications and 2) serves as the primary lead in application development and data automation for DSH's population. The incumbent will develop strategies for seamless data integration for application development efforts including, but not limited to, the Electronic Health Record(EHR) System. The RDS III serves as both a senior DSH data subject matter expert in web-based power applications and workgroup facilitation.
This position will require a background check via Cal DOJ Live Scan to fulfill the responsibilities of the job.

The incumbent must have the ability to work independently, must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, as well as engage with a variety of stakeholders (including clinical, operational, and executive) utilizing impeccable interpersonal and communication skills.
Additionally, strong leadership and team collaboration skills are required for this position.
Experience leading large-scale projects such as data quality assessments, process/data mapping for application development, requirements gathering for large-scale technology efforts.
Experience in collaborating one or more of the following: data warehouse development, data quality reviews, data migration, data standardization.
