Pay Range: $50/hr - $58/hour. Traveler benefits as per agency package. (Benefits vary by vendor and assignment).
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, optimize, and execute cell-based virology and immunology assays
- Culture mammalian and primary cells for research studies
- Perform molecular biology techniques including RNA/DNA isolation, qPCR, cloning, and PCR
- Conduct ELISA, Flow Cytometry (FACS), and immune functional assays
- Support virus production and characterization for discovery programs
- Evaluate the activity of novel antiviral compounds
- Analyze and interpret experimental data, troubleshoot assays, and recommend improvements
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and present findings to multidisciplinary teams
- Collaborate closely with scientists across virology, immunology, molecular biology, and drug discovery
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Immunology, Virology, Microbiology, or a related Life Sciences field
- 4+ years of hands-on laboratory experience
- Strong experience with:
- Mammalian or primary cell culture
- Molecular Biology
- qPCR/PCR
- ELISA
- Flow Cytometry (FACS)
- Cell-based assays
- Excellent data analysis and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently in a highly collaborative research environment
