JOB PURPOSE:

To support the Labs research into dynamic transcriptional states by assisting in the investigation of oscillatory gene expression in human naive and memory T cells. The role involves a combination of computational analysis and laboratory support to characterize gene regulation using the Easy Share-seq sequencing protocol.

SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY:

This position does not have supervisory authority over other employees.

NATURE AND SCOPE:

The Research Assistant will work under the direct supervision of the Principal Investigator within our Lab. The scope of the work includes processing RNA-seq datasets and collaborating with lab members to model complex gene regulation in single-cell multi-omic data.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Assisting with the implementation of the Easy Share-seq sequencing protocol.

Conducting computational analysis of published and internal transcriptomics datasets.

Organizing and maintaining laboratory records and data repositories.

Participating in weekly lab meetings to report findings on T cell gene oscillation.

CORE COMPETENCIES:

Familiar with basic biology experimental techniques

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a laboratory setting.
